SOR explosion proof temperature switches work on a proven, time-tested vapor pressure thermal system. Changes in fluid vapor pressure may be accurately predicted according to the influence of temperature on the switch’s sensing bulb. When the temperature in the process changes a proportional adjustment in the vapor pressure occurs in the sensing bulb. The change acts on the diaphragm/piston assembly to actuate/de-actuate an electrical, snap-action switching element at discrete process temperatures.

The explosion proof, SOR V2 Hi-Lo temperature switch operates on a vapor-pressure thermal system. Fluid vapor pressure changes in a predictable manor according to the influence of temperature on a sensing bulb. It actuates/deactuates a snap-action piston assembly at a discrete process temperature.
The V2 model features two discrete sensing assemblies and two separate set points with two separate hermetically sealed switch outputs all in a single, housing. The Dual Hi-Lo V2 temperature switch can signal at minimum and maximum temperatures. It is field adjustable and tamper resistant making it a convenient choice for just about any industry. The designation “V2“ indicates special housing to accommodate the hermetically sealed switches. Ranges from -500F to 10000F
